Scope
The Turning of Our Bones called for a visual atmosphere that felt intimate, uncanny and quietly symbolic. The story follows a woman who begins to trace the fading histories of her family after an unexpected discovery unsettles the life she thought she knew. To mirror this gentle unravelling, the cover frames a blurred figure behind a magnifying glass, revealing a single bird frozen mid-flight. An image that suggests migration and the fragile truths at the heart of the story.
Soft lilac typography arcs across the composition like a drifting thought. Lending a contemplative and dreamlike tone. The direction blends warmth with subtle strangeness, giving the novel a quiet pull that invites the reader closer.
